Just Give Me Black Label: Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Big Stage’ Road

Nike Zoom Kobe V 'Big Stage' Road

Last week, we highlighted the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Big Stage’ home colorway and as anticipated, Nike concocted a road edition as well.  In my personal opinion, this is hands down, the sickest colorway of the ZKB V to date.  There’s just something about black and gold that goes down so smoothly.  I mean on the kicks of course.

I’m personally a lot more partial to black than white as I’ve mentioned before so as you can imagine, the ‘Big Stage’ road is making me hide my wallet.  The upper’s base color is black with gold enveloping the heel counter, external heel cap, ankle collar, Swoosh logo and Kobe’s Sheath logo on the tongue.  Much like the home colorway, there are numbers etched all over the upper in glossy black, which denote the benchmark achievements that the Mamba reached during the regular season.  What I expect to lift the road edition above the home on many people’s wish lists is the clear rubber outsole, always a fan favorite.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Big Stage’ road colorway is set for in-store release later this summer along with its home counterpart.  We’ll keep you all posted on exactly when without a doubt.  The NBA Finals has been full of surprises as the Lakers stand ahead 2-1 in the series, but we all know that it’s far from over.  Keep watching to see if any other specialty kicks are debuted!
