Championship Footwear: Nike Zoom Kobe V Blowout Special Part II

Nike Zoom Kobe V 'Inline'

The kicks that a superstar baller rocks at home are always of significance and obviously, Kobe is by no means an exception to the rule. The Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Inline’ colorway was built to be one of the Mamba’s go-to sneakers at the Staples Center.

You could even say that what Kobe wears at home garners even greater attention given the fact that he plays in arguably the biggest media circuit city in the world.  There are always cameras behind cameras in the City of Angels.

Rockin' em' right.

Nike went with a very clean silhouette for the ‘Inline’ colorway with a white base upper and only black and purple as accompanying colors. Black is the hue of choice for the Swoosh, heel cap, tongue and outsole. Purple accents appear on the Swoosh border, Sheath logo, the laces (dotted with black), inner lining and Kobe’s signature on the heel. If you look closely as well, the upper also has portions of white reptile skin and the white midsole is decked out with copious speckles of purple and black.

Generally being very meticulous about sticking to white base uppers at home, Kobe rocked the ‘Inline’ colorway a lot during the regular season as he did with the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. Overall, I’d say Nike did well by keeping things clean and quaint for this edition.

Personally though, I’m just not a huge fan of wearing white sneakers on the court because of the obvious potential to have your kicks stepped on over and over.
