Many sneakerheads and Jordan Brand connoisseurs have grown weary of the more recent kicks that are being released by MJ. Even so, it’s undeniable that there are still just as many sneakers in his endless collection that are essentially must-haves whenever they drop.
The new Air Jordan 1 Phat Low Black/University Blue-Taxi colorway is no exception. There’s nothing overdone about this particular setup as the smooth leather upper is doused in black with quaint accents of University Blue on the Swoosh and Taxi Yellow on the Jumpman logo. There are also white trimmings on the mesh inner lining and midsole, which is bonded to the upper by a single line of University Blue stitching. The fatty tongue also has a mesh inner lining painted with Taxi Yellow while the outsole is black, and to finish things off, we can see the old school “Air Jordan” branding in white on the heel.
Jordan Brand has definitely been putting out some questionable models and colorways, but like I said, you really can’t go wrong with the Air Jordan 1 or any variation thereof. Keep an eye out for this colorway to drop in the next couple of months.
