After months and months of keeping us all on the hinge, the official release date for the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ has finally been confirmed by Jordan Brand. The much anticipated re-release of this colorway will be dropped by retailers on December 23, 2010 for $175. I’m sure you can already imagine what it’s going to take for you to cop a pair of these kicks.
Without question, the ‘Cool Grey’ colorway is the most hyped release of the XI’s since the Space Jams caused a ruckus nationwide last year. This edition is obviously dressed to impress with light grey shrouding the upper and you definitely can’t miss the premium patent leather that wraps around the entire shoe. White accents make an appearance by way of laces, midsole and Jumpman logo near the heel. Keep in mind as well that these kicks aren’t just made to look pretty. The XI’s come outfitted with a full-length Air Sole unit and full-length carbon fiber spring plate that both provide excellent stability and cushioning. The speed lacing system also makes it very easy to get these sneakers onto your feet whether you’re about to head out or rock the competition on the hardwood. The icy clear rubber outsole provides strong traction to top things off.
With Christmas right around the corner, I’m sure the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ sits atop many of our wish lists, but like I said, are you prepared for the fight to snag a pair of these? Christmas shopping the night before Christmas Eve is treacherous as is, so it will be very interesting or frustrating to see how this release goes down. But hey, there’s always online sellers so if you don’t want to brave the lines, check out the banner below.
Remember, December 23, 2010!
