The Miami Heat’s crowned “Big 3” stand 0-2 this season against Boston’s “Big 3”, or “Big 4” rather, with the continuing explosive development of point guard, Rajon Rondo. Last night was probably a forgettable game for Dwyane Wade, but LeBron James certainly did everything he could to keep his team in the fight scoring 35 points, grabbing 10 boards and dishing out 9 assists, barely missing his second straight triple-double. He did all this while rocking the ‘Veterans Day’ colorway of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII.
The white upper is heavily complimented by a navy blue inner lining and Flywire panels that have a mock carbon fiber facade of the same color. We can see red accents through the Swoosh border and tongue, which also features the lion imprint, a symbol of the beastly play of LeBron. The midsole is white while the interior of the Air Max bubble and outsole share a navy blue display. All in all, this is a pretty clean build for LeBron’s eighth signature shoe and appropriate to the name of this edition, they were meant to be worn in tribute to all those who have and continue to sacrifice their lives for all our freedom in this great nation.
The Miami Heat are clearly a work in progress, an evaluation to which the team can attest, but it’s still way too early to make gross judgments about how their season will ultimately finish. We can expect to see LeBron continue to find his way on a team that features a fellow Top 10 player by his side and without a doubt, he will have plenty of new colorways of the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII coming our way.
This ‘Veterans Day’ colorway will drop on November 24, 2010 so keep an eye out for them!
