I was flipping through Time Warner Cable’s insanely wonderful selection of channels (yup…best ever…) the other night, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back was playing on Spike. Now, even though I’ve seen all of the Star Wars films a bajillion times, it’s really one of those series that you can watch anytime, especially if it happens to be on TV. One of the most memorable and classic villains from the films is that bounty hunter we all love, Boba Fett.
I know it’s not exactly fresh news, but I figured it was as good of a time as any to take a look at the adidas Originals x Star Wars ZX 800 ‘Boba Fett’ sneaker. Released last year, this edition of the ZX 800 features a very thematically competent build with an upper that effectively mimics Boba Fett’s scathed body armor. Olive green works most of the upper while stone grey paints the tongue, midfoot and forefoot. Hits of brown are shown through the inner as orange briefly colors the heel and forefoot alongside cream-colored laces. Of course, the best part of the shoe is the Boba Fett patch that is stitched onto the tip of the tongue for everyone to clearly see.
Whether you’re a Star Wars fanatic or simply a casual fan, this is a pretty damn cool shoe regardless. The adidas Originals collection has really taken off and we will be taking a look at the whole line very soon!
