Kobe has spent this season rotating more colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI than he did with the Kobe IV and Kobe V. Why? We’ve been told that Nike is aiming for roughly 80 different colorways by the time all is said and done with the Mamba’s sixth signature shoe. Whether that truly comes to fruition, only time will tell, but it sure is fun to think about.
The ‘Purple Gradient’ colorway we see here is absolutely sick and worthy of a little drool. Purple and black work together beautifully throughout the upper with a seductive fade finish. Metallic silver stands out strong on the Swoosh, Sheath, and heel cap as purple also infiltrates the outsole, inner and laces. White douses the midsole to top things off. What sets this colorway apart from the rest that we’ve seen thus far is the relatively prominent visibility of the Flywire on the lateral side of the shoe. If you’ve caught Kobe playing in these kicks, there’s no denying that this build is one of the more attractive ones.
The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Purple Gradient’ is scheduled to drop on May 5, 2011! Do you see this colorway on your feet in the future?
