As we inch closer to the launch of the “Obsidian” Air Jordan Retro XII’s, more high quality photos have surfaced.
The “Obsidian” will return for the first time since their initial release in 1997. Like the upcoming Air Jordan Retro XII “Playoffs“, this Obsidian colorway appears to be almost identical to its original counterpart. An obsidian leather upper and a white mudguard perfectly matcheso match the “UNC” Tar Heel uniform. Small highlights of University Blue on the tongue, heel, and outsole branding finish off the colorway. One small difference between this and the original model is that this version will have plastic chrome eyelets instead of metal. This model along with the rest of the Retro XII’s will be packaged with the new Jordan box that includes an exclusive XII hangtag.
The Air Jordan Retro XII “Obsidian” will release on June 23, 2012 for $160.00 USD.
