First highlighted in our article on Baylor’s NCAA tournament sneakers, the adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2 is light as light can be, weighing in at a record 9.5 ounces for a basketball sneaker. This makes the Crazy Light 2 almost 10 percent lighter than the next lightest basketball shoe on the market.
The key to its lightness is the shoe’s SPRINTFRAME support chassis, which gives the shoe the necessary support a ball player requires since the SPRINTWEB upper is essentially mesh. It also features features micoach speed_cell compatability, adidas’ answer to Nike+.
The shoe launches in five different colorways, including Electricity (seen on Baylor’s feet) and Black/White/Red, pictured below.
The adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2 drops 05/24/2012 for $140.00 USD at major retailers.
As always, we’ll keep you posted on any future updates and release info @kicksologists or on Facebook.
Care of adidas.
