With Olympic season in full swing it’s about time Nike showed some team USA love to their Big Three (Kobe, LeBron, Durant). Jordan Brand has been all over London fever with retro releases of the Air Jordan VI and VII in the Gold Medal Pack, but it’s nice to see something a little more modern coming down the pipeline.
With that, we have the first detailed look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VII “USA”, a classic red, white, and blue colorway that Captain America could wear on the court. The overall effect is clean beyond clean, and reminiscent of the Kobe V “USA” Bryant wore while Team USA took the Gold in 2008. Of note is the global basketball logo on the heel below the Mamba’s signature, and the standard Kobe VII “Play Fast” insert.
Look for the Nike Zoom Kobe VII “USA” on store shelves 06/16/2012 in a non-supreme release for $140.00. In the meantime, here’s hoping for Gold number two, Kobe (USA! USA! USA!).
