As always Nike puts Kobe in some unique shoes on Christmas day. The Lakers are fortunate enough to play on Christmas day every year. This year Nike went with a more different colorway from the past few years.
For those who don’t remember the Kobe 6 and Kobe 7 both had festive Christmas colors and even had the option of red laces in the shoes. This season it wasn’t really a Christmas theme going on with the shoes like years past.
This year was more of a light red that was almost pink for the laces and neon green for the soles with a black based shoe. I thought the colorway was hot but it wasn’t for Christmas. As always the Christmas edition shoes are limited and they come out the day after Christmas at select stores.
This year the non-Christmas colored shoes led to a Lakers victory on Christmas day which is rare so maybe Nike should keep that theme going.
