Squadron Green/Volt/Black XX8 SE Colorway Release Date Set

The XX8 SE on-slaught continues with the all new Squadron Green/Volt-Black colorway.  With an all black upper, this colorway of the XX8 SE will be a popular option out of the upcoming 2014 colorways.  An olive mid-sole and volt yellow/green bottom round out the shoe’s carbon fiber details.  We have seen much success in olive colored Jordan Brand shoes in past Jordan Retro IXs and the limited release, instant classic Fear Pack Jordan Retro V.  The XX8 SE has much more black than olive, but the past success of olive colors validated the color use for future models.

Colors aside, the XX8 SE is a fierce competitor on the technology front.  Going to battle on the court in these will take your mind off your feet and keep your head in the game.  The lightweight construction and zoom bag responsiveness feels like running on clouds.  Carbon fiber heel counter and mid-foot support keep you in your shoes for hard cuts and dives into the key.  In the post, the mid-cut profile nears a high-top profile, but doesn’t feel like a bulky shoe.  It has extra padding on the ankle support compared to the original XX8, but not enough to significantly change the width profile of the shoe.
