Michael Jordan shocked the world when he retired from the NBA to pursue a baseball career, but it sure made us appreciate him in his absence. The Jordan Brand has already commemorated Jordan’s time with the Chicago White Sox minor league affiliate the Birmingham Barons with the Air Jordan 9. However, the Jordan Brand will also release the Air Jordan 1 Birmingham Baron colorway.

Like the Air Jordan 9 Barons colorway, these colors would look great with a White Sox jersey. The Barons are a great combination of black, grey, and white. The customary white midsole is still present in this colorway, but the outsole is grey. The upper contains all three colors, with the Swoosh, tongue, and some of the toe being black. The white is seen by the Swoosh and toe area, but the grey is more on the heel of the Air Jordan 1. The most appealing feature is the pinstripes that line the interior by the tongue and heel.
The Air Jordan 1 Barons will be available on April 4, 2014 and they will retail for $140.
