Nike announced their plans to release the “What The” Lebron 11 and the “What The” KD VI. Nike has also placed a May 31 release date on the “What The” Lebrons. Be sure to keep an eye out for the KD VIs which are releasing the following week on June 7. With both athletes are playing at a phenomenal level this season, they may meet for a championship series in the Finals. Cleverly, Nike has planned to release the shoes near the beginning of the NBA Finals.
Like most “What The” sneakers, both shoes of the “What The” KD VIs are completely different. Although they look mismatched, together they make a great conversation starter. Nike has reported there are 35 different graphics from previous KD colorways. Unlike the Elite Series, they carry the regular shorter Air Zoom unit. With the wild details on the upper, the colored soles become underrated. The left shoe features a light blue translucent while the right shoe sports a mint green translucent sole.
Nike has gone into detail about the infused concepts behind the KD VI:
The new KD VI “What The KD” melds 35 graphics and colors from all the past KD VI colorways. From the Maryland blue crab-inspired Swoosh, to the floral graphic of his late Aunt Pearl’s robe, this new shoe captures KD’s personal stories all in one.
