The University of Connecticut’s basketball program became kings and queens of the college basketball world as they both managed to win the 2014 NCAA National Championship.. In 2009 Maya Moore led the Huskies to an undefeated campaign and a national championship. For a second consecutive year, the Huskies were undefeated and repeated as champions. Moore currently plays for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA.
As she works with United Way Worldwide, she has decided to auction off two autographed and game-worn shoes. Of the two pairs, one is the Nike Zoom Kobe V, and the other is the Jordan Fly Wade. Before her endorsement deal with Jordan Brand, Moore wore Nike.

During her national championship run, she had worn the Nike Zoom Kobe V. The shoes are compiled of a white midsole and swoosh to go along with a black heel cap and upper, plus grey accents and toes. These come autographed on the toes and with a personalized inscription with the phrase “UCONN 2010 National Champions” on both toe boxes. These also feature a special insole highlighting the Women’s Final Four in San Antonio.
The other pair donated in order to help the charity is the Jordan Fly Wade. Featuring a white upper and royal blue accents, these are also autographed on the toe. On the right shoe, Maya signs and writes “2011 WNBA Champs”. The left shoe features the inscription: “2011 R.O.Y.” to celebrate her rookie campaign.
The auction specifies both pairs a size 12.5 in which we assume is in women’s sizing. If you are the lucky bidder, you’ll also receive a letter of authenticity personally signed by Moore. Be sure to set your alarms as the eBay auction is scheduled to end May 20, 2014 at 7:24:13 PDT.
