History

In the 2009-2010 season, Kevin Durant was having a great third season averaging 30.1 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. It was clear that during this season, Durant was showing his skill to the ultimate level by being selected his first All-Star game. He also was the youngest NBA scoring champion, which is something that doesn’t come easy.

The OKC Thunder also made it to the NBA playoffs and Durant put on a great performance in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Durant scored 24 points but the Lakers got the better end and took game one. Oklahoma City went on to lose the series against the Lakers in six games.

Although the OKC Thunder and Kevin Durant went home early during the playoffs, this team would bounce back to be a force in the west. With so much young talent and a superstar like Kevin Durant, it was going to be tough to stop this OKC team in the future.
