Andrew Wiggins is reported by close sources, that the contract is a multiyear deal with $2 million guaranteed for every year of that deal. When Wiggins played for the University of Kansas, he only wore Adidas branded sneakers to play in.

Adidas needed another first pick overall player to endorse their products since their previous 2008 No. 1 draft pick, Derrick Rose has been sidelined for the past two seasons with injuries. However Adidas isn’t lacking in big named players with Dante Exum who was the fifth pick overall in this year’s draft and John Wall got moved from Reebok to Adidas. We also can’t forget about the extension that was given to budding star Damian Lillard. Yeah, Adidas still has a long way to catch up to the roster that Nike and Jordan Brand has accumulated over the years but Adidas is hoping that their players will soon be in the ranks of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant and will be able to help them take more control over the shoe market.
