The KD I
The KD I was released in 2008 and was the first shoe to come out in the Kevin Durant series collection. The KD I featured a high-top frame, which gave excellent ankle support and also had great traction. It also included a Zoom Air cushioning, providing comfort for the player. For Durant’s first shoe, it made a great impact on the shoe market, appealing to people’s price range. Kevin Durant made it clear that he wanted to keep his shoe affordable at 100 dollars per shoe. Overall, the shoe’s sleek hi-top frame works great for people on the court and is affordable for the general public.

History
In the 2008-2009 season, Kevin Durant was entering his sophomore season the NBA. Even as a second year in the league, it was apparent that Durant was going to have a flourishing career. In his second year Durant was averaging 25.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. With this type of regular season consistency Durant was having, Durant was getting a lot better.
During this season, it was the start of Kevin Durant’s breakthrough in the NBA. Durant was also a very good candidate for the NBA’s Most Improved Player, however he finished in third in the voting. It was obvious that Durant’s future was looking up from this season on to the future.
Although he was not able to lead his team to the playoffs during this season, the OKC Thunder had a bright future ahead of them with a bright star. It was only a matter of time until Kevin Durant would take his place as one of the primary players in the NBA.
