With Lebron James heading back to Cleveland and Kevin Durant’s future still in the air, Kobe Bryant is itching to return on court. Nike Basketball is making sure that his return is the biggest yet as they continue to launch special colorways for his comeback.

This University Red colorway will debut in a Flyknit Elite Low model combining lightweight support and A1 comfort. Thanks to these detailed photos, you can see that this color scheme has more than red, black, and white on it. I didn’t see it the first time around but a hint of mint green is speckled on the black midsole and the laces as well. Reminds me of Christmas a little bit. A couple days ago, there was a post on Instagram saying that these were going to be glow in the dark outsoles, but according to the photos, it looks to be a normal solid outsole. I doubt there are two versions out there. You can’t believe everything you see and hear.
Many hoopers and Kobe heads are very happy with the way this University Red Kobe 9 turned out. The official release for this is going to be on Saturday, September 13 for $200.00 USD. Release should be to the general public at Nike retailers. Also if you haven’t heard already, the Kobe 9 EM Low China Pack has a release.
