Today, LeBron James and Nike unveiled the 12th edition of the LeBron James signature basketball line. Resembling an Apple product launch, LeBron and Nike executives took the stage to debut the kicks. The newest innovation Nike has implemented in this superstar’s shoes begin at the bottom. The bottom meaning the outsoles; will feature colorful hexagonal shaped system that will provide a natural, flexible, and improved pressure mapping. This is opposed to the traditional single large Zoom Air bag.
Seven colorways of the new LeBron 12 model lit up in the background and each of the colorways has a story behind it. There was a lot of ideas going into the LeBron 12 and Nike inc. explains:
James runs approximately three miles per game, and the average player changes directions about 1,000 times over that distance, requiring supportive, comfortable footwear to withstand tremendous impact and torque. Dynamic Flywire cables provide lockdown support for James’s unrivaled combination of speed and strength. The upper is constructed for a precise fit, with Hyperposite wings that deliver targeted support and protection.
The initial seven LEBRON 12 colorways are inspired by James’s game, physical attributes and the analysis that went into the development of his latest signature shoe:
