Nike Kobe 9 Elite PE “Court Purple”

[new_royalslider id=”408″]

The Lakers pre-season started last week and we finally got a glimpse of the Kobe 9 Elite on the man himself.  The Mamba hasn’t had the chance to rock his 9th signature due to the Achilles injury he suffered last year.  At last, Kobe Bryant returned to the court as he took on the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors.  Thanks to a friend of mine, we have an exclusive first glimpse at this beautiful PE hoping that this would make it to store shelves.

Nike Basketball made sure to keep this colorway as clean as possible. Most of the sneaker is white with hits of court purple and black to contrast.  The details around the eyestays and collar almost have a pearlescent effect giving it a unique look.  Nike Flywire is exposed in court purple as well as the Shozoku logo on the tongue.  As always, the nine stitches on the rear represent the Achilles injury the Mamba suffered, but now is back better than ever.  Lastly, the outsole color is pure platinum allowing ultimate grip for any player.

Player Editions for Kobe Bryant are hardly ever released to the public, but don’t count this out for a future release.  These would be perfect for Sunday white jerseys and who knows if these would be worn elsewhere in the league.  For now, enjoy the close up photos above and let us know what you think about them in the comment section below.
