Nike Kyrie 1 Duke Brotherhood | Release Day Postponed

Nike is starting to pump out colorways for their signature athletes. We’ve seen Kevin Durant’s KD 7s ramp up with more and newer colorways; next up is Kyrie Irving. The Venus Flytrap was the last colorway to be released and Kyrie 1 fans got a look at a college inspired colorway.

Although the shoes don’t feature any kind of Duke logos, the black and blue colorway was created to represent Kyrie’s short stint with the Blue Devils. For those who don’t know Uncle Drew before he aged, Kyrie played 11 games and started eight of them in his freshman campaign. That was cut short due to injury and Kyrie left for the pros. As you may remember, Kyrie went still went number one overall with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Originally scheduled for a 3/12 release, the Duke Kyries were postponed to March 21st instead. Nike has been postponing many of their models as of late including the LeBron 12 “What Ifs” and the Gold Foamposites. As long as Duke stays in the tournament, these would make it to your doorsteps before the Final Four.
