Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit Test Run | DTLA Nike Running Club

Event Introduction

We were invited by Nike to the AT&T building in downtown Los Angeles to test out the brand new Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit. With a breathtaking view of Los Angeles, we were pushed to the limits by running on treadmills on the rooftop as the sunsets at 7PM.

The Kicks

Every runners was laced up with a Nike’s newest creation, a pair of Nike Free 3.0 Flyknits. After 40 minutes of interval running and over an hour in them total, the kicks still felt great. They feature a barefoot feel to allow the runners to run naturally. The Flyknit upper acts as a second skin, sock, or glove as the Nike Free outsole is incredibly flexible.

My Experience

As a person who mainly plays basketball, distance running isn’t really in my arsenal. As a hooper, short sprints and a lot of walking is involved. Most already know, basketball conditioning is completely different from a runner’s conditioning.  I don’t remember the last time I had this much fun running, but this has changed my views on going for that daily jog. It may have been the breathtaking view of Los Angeles or the just coach motivating us to push harder or even the Nike Free 3.0 Flyknits working its magic; whatever it was, it worked! After further research, Nike offers a lot of NRC (Nike+ Running Club) events. Below is a link to register for the events:

Recommendation & Feedback

All in all, the event was a success. Not many can say they have ran on a treadmill ontop of a rooftop of a building in the middle of downtown as the sun was setting. There were multiple time slots, so this event wasn’t exclusive and was open to the general public. As a Master Head Coach, Sally McRae was motivating, inspiring, and kept us focus. Nike will always provide the best to help you perform at your maximum potential. Don’t be shocked to see me at the other events. I strongly recommend grabbing some friends, registering, and attending one of these events to see if it’s for you.
