USWMNT & Nike Unveil Home Kits | 2015 World Cup

Nike hosted another successful event and this time it was focused on the USWNT and their dreams of bringing home the World Cup. On April 14, the National Team was revealed and with the new World Cup nearing, official dresser of the soccer team, Nike chose to unveil their home kits in Hollywood.

Athletes

Tobin Heath, Alex Morgan, and Sydney Leroux were on hand to model and share their thoughts on Nike’s latest uniforms and soccer collection There will be apparel for the field, press conference / casual lifestyle, and gear to train in.

Kicks / Cleats / Boot

The Volt Yellow and Blue Lagoon colorway serves a purpose; to bring attention to where the action is, the feet. The cleats and socks will feature the eye-catching colors in four models. The socks will feature a white to volt gradient transition to blend the simple and classic white uniforms with excitement and attention as it draws closer to the foot. The futbol players all know there are 3 main Nike cleats: the Mercurial, Magista, and Tiempo.

Uniform Details

For the first time ever, the jerseys will also be available in men’s sizing so everybody can support when the women hit Canada to compete for their third Cup. The details are the most interesting. First off, the jerseys will feature a blue triangle with stars on the home kits on the (inner) back. The purpose was to remind the ladies that their country has their backs. The most impressive part has to be the environmental impact. Nike chose to use recycled polyester. On average, 18 plastic bottles were recycled in creating each kit.

The USA jerseys are available in women’s, men’s, and youth sizes exclusively in the Nike Soccer App (gonike.me/SoccerApp) on April 22nd and will be in Nike stores and on nike.com from April 23rd.
