Nike Hyperdunk 2015 ‘City Pack’ Preview

Hard to believe that eight years has passed by since the debut of the original Nike Hyperdunk in 2008.  Believe it or not, both Nike Flywire and Nike Lunarlon (Lunarfoam initially) were introduced by the Hyperdunk.  It changed the game and since then, it became the go-to sneaker for professional and occasional hoopers around the world.

This time around, the Hyperdunk 2015 has gotten a huge makeover.  Judging from the newest photos, Nike has brought back Zoom Air cushioning to provide a bouncier experience for the court.  It also looks to have Nike Flywire integrated within the upper to maintain superior lockdown while bringing lightweight support.

A traditional outsole returns as the herringbone pattern is implemented; traction should be on point.  The heel is quite a head scratcher; I don’t know about you, but it really reminds me of the Nike Roshe Run’s midsole.  I’m not exactly sure how this would translate for the hardwood, but it looks to be clunky and a bit out of place.

Anyways, this colorway looks to be part of a “City Pack” as it displays LA branding on the heel collar.  We’ll keep you guys informed as more information comes available.  Look for the Hyperdunk 2015 to retail around $140.00-150.00 USD this Summer.
