Under Armour continues their strive to success in the basketball realm as their lead signature athlete Stephen Curry advances to the Western Conference Finals. Curry and the Golden State Warriors take on Nike Basketball’s James Harden and the Rockets tonight for Game 1. Steph has been wearing an array of colorways and may wear his latest sneaker the Curry One that drops in the “Playoff” colorway later this Friday, but new images of his second shoe has surfaced.

Recently, photos of UA’s second signature sneaker for Steph has surfaced. From the initial look, they showcase a whole new upper. The overall silhouette is similar to the Curry One, yet it houses a larger heel counter and midsole comes a little higher. We’ve got Nike Flyknit, adidas Primeknit, and also Brandblack’s own woven knit combinations for their performance sneakers. It’s going to be interested to see how Under Armour converts their own knit materials. Anafoam was a great upper for the Curry One so it’s a little surprising to see Under Armour switch it up so quickly. Lastly, the outsole seems to be a bit more aggressive on these than the Curry One’s. Can’t say much from the photos, but it would be great to see UA improve in this area.
It’s good to see Under Armour switch it up a bit on the design, but also keep the signature feel to it by keeping the same silhouette as well as his “I Can do all things…” quote. We’ll see how far Stephen Curry line goes in this years NBA Playoffs. Will we see a Finals colorway for the Curry One? Or maybe even a Championship Pack from Under Armour? Either way, UA has the spotlight on them and they are taking every opportunity to capitalize on that.
The Under Armour Curry Two will release sometime this Fall for a rumored price of $130.00 USD. Stay tuned here on Kicksologsits for more updates.
