This week’s Mamba Monday takes us through Brotha D’s collection and the history behind the Zoom Kobe IX model. The Nike Kobe 9 featured three models: the EM (Engineered Mesh), Flyknit Elite Low, & Flyknit Elite High. The Kobe 9 are the first baseball shoes to receive the Flyknit treatment.

The colorways were scaled back on the Elites lows. Excluding the ultra rare HTM, only 3 colorways released to the general public including the classic Beethoven, University Red, and Moonwalker, which pays homage to Michael Jordan. Against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kobe passed Michael Jordan on the All-Time scoring list and donned a special Elite low pair. The Mamba Moment released on Nike iD for fans to customize and create their own.
