It’s been 30 years since the first run of the Jordan 1’s were released. The silhouette being one of the most key sneakers in the entire sneaker world they have to do something special to commemorate this feat. For this they will give us the classic supposedly “banned” black and red colorway (false story by the way), but this time on the Air Jordan 1 KO. The Jordan 1 in the “Bred” colorway is one of the most highly sought after sneakers so fans are in for a treat since a lot of us missed out on the last release of the “Bred” 1 retro in 2013 or the “Royal” AJKO that had just released last year.
As we know the AJKO differs from the originals because of the materials used on the sneaker. The AJKO features mostly canvas on the upper of the shoe. The color blocking follows the same blueprint as the original “Breds” with the exception of the red on the back heel. So red on the toe box, upper lace ankle panel, as well as the swoosh and bottom sole. Meanwhile, the rest of the sneaker is covered in black followed by a white midsole.
These classics will definitely be a sell since the Jordan 1 “Breds” are highly coveted and these are the next best thing. You will get a chance at them this Summer on August 8, 2015 while retailing for about $160. Stay tuned with us here at Kicksologists for further details about the locations.
