The Preludes were the first time Kobe’s signature shoes were officially retroed. It looks like 2016 will be the year for the classic Kobe models to return. With Air Jordans, the chance to pick up shoes from the past makes it all worth it.

According to Dino Hatfield of Balt Sneaker Show, the first Kobes to release will be based on iconic moments:
Championships can include the Finals Kobe IV (Orlando) and Big Stage Vs (against Boston) while the scoring category surely will include the 81 points(white/purple), and All Star Appearances can be anything (elected 17 times). It’ll be interesting to see if Kobe’s 2K5 will release since he dropped 62 points on the Dallas Mavs in just three quarts of play.
For Kobe fans, this is great news. Other colorways that fans would love to grab include the Grinches, and the classic Del Sol / Inline colorways dropping again. Dino, we’re trusting you, hopefully the retros aren’t extremely limited and everybody gets their pairs. If not, expect to see insane resale prices.
