Kobe Bryant is often regarded as the most popular basketball player in the world. While the US is split with so many fans staying loyal to their local teams, Kobe is truly a global icon. His influence in Asia is unquestionable has he remains their favorite athlete.

Kobe made a visit to Asia and participated in Nike Basketball’s Rise. It’s his tenth Summer tour and the fans didn’t want to miss the five-time NBA champion. Earlier this offseason, we’ve seen Paul George and Anthony Davis visit the Far East to expand their reach by using basketball.

Kobe Bryant returns to Asia for his 10th summer tour with Nike and the second year of the RISE initiative, which helps young basketball players reach their full potential both on and off the court. Bryant returned to Guangzhou for the first time in three years before traveling to Shanghai and the remarkable House of Mamba. He rounds out the tour in Taipei.
Nike created the LED court in the House of Mamba and Kobe took charge. He led the drills and directed players. By taking direction from one of the greatest to ever play, the players were in for an amazing lesson.
Obviously the participants and Kobe himself were wearing Kobe Xs and Venomenon 5s. Nike will document the adventures behind Bryant, George, James, and Durant as they travel through Asia and Europe. They will bring joy and inspiration to the future ballers.
