Nike Football (Soccer) has changed the way soccer players view boots and continues to put out the best products for their athletes. Innovations like Flyknit and Dynamic Fit collars have been incorporated into the cleats in 2015. Before the developments, cleats have always been leather.
Going back to the basics, Nike will add leather for performance and style. The four current boot models, the Hypervenom, Magista, Mercurial, and Tiempo will get the upgrade. Together, they create the Tech Craft Football Boots. Featuring black leather that is contrasted with bright and bold colors, they’re created to garner attention.
From Nike:
Nike Tech Craft strategically places a thin layer of leather in high ball-contact areas (the medial and lateral sides of the forefoot) on each of Nike’s four football boot styles — Hypervenom, Magista, Mercurial and Tiempo. Each boot remains true to its original aesthetic and performance attributes, but with the soft touch and classic appeal of leather.
In case you can’t wait, the Tech Craft Collection is available August 11 on the Nike Football App. The wider release will come on August 13 on Nike.com Soccer stars; Edinson Cavani, Alexis Sanchez and Blaise Matuidi will be seen wearing the Nike Tech Craft boots. Balancing modern technology with a classic, created a tough task for the design team. They needed to create and improve without compromising.
