It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since the debut of the Aunt Pearl series. It isn’t close to October, but Nike Basketball will release the Nike KD 8 “Aunt Pearl” later this month.
Keeping the memory of KD’s late aunt alive, floral print returns with Vivid-Pink hits all over. I’m not a huge fan of the KD 8 silhouette, but I do admit, it’s a very comfortable sneaker. Not seen since the KD 5 and 6, floral makes it way back all over the upper.

I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about it at first, but it looks great in this new photo. It would have been nice to see Nike switch the overall theme to something completely new, perhaps using a tree of hope or even a butterfly symbol. Nevertheless, the shoe will be a instant hit amongst KD fans as it’s one of the most awaited releases for his line.
The Nike KD 8 “Aunt Pearl” is scheduled to drop February 22nd, 2016 for $200 USD. As always, proceeds of the release will go to the Kay Yow fund.
