One of the best Finals sneakers ever produced for the Mamba were the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 Big Stage pack. This included two Home and Away models resulting in Kobe Bryant’s fifth ring defeating the Boston Celtics back in 2011. With the Kobe retired, it looks like Nike Basketball will be releasing colorways inspired by moments in his career. The Kobe A.D. Big Stage pays tribute to that fifth ring in this new colorway seen below.
Releasing this Summer, this A.D. Big Stage comes in the same color blocking as the Kobe 5 did with a few exceptions. Other than the silhouette, the Kobe A.D. Big Stage comes with a gum-bottom. Some like it. Some do not. You also have red hits on the heel and possibly the insole branding however it is not visible. The rest of the shoe stays consistent with the original mold allowing fans to purchase these commemorative sneakers.
Although they are not the same as the 2010 grails, they still look great. With the NBA Playoffs coming to a close with the Conference Finals, players like Andre Iguodala, J.R Smith, and Isaiah Thomas.
You can grab a pair of the Nike Kobe A.D. Big Stage at major Nike retailers on June 3, 2017 for $160.00 USD.
