Paul George enters this off-season with great uncertainty. Missing the All-NBA team costs him about $70M as he is not eligible for the supermax deal from Indiana and possibly other NBA teams. However he shouldn’t worry too much as his signature line with Nike Basketball is one of the best things to happen with the brand.
With no signs of slowing down, the PG 1 is out with another clean colorway, the Pure Platinum. Similar to the Summer Pack from Nike, this brings a slight change to that previous colorway. You still got the gum outsole and white midsole with grey speckles. Right on the upper you got scales that look to be similar to fish scales done in suede. Lastly, there are some Yellow hits on the insole and outsole branding. Knowing that the PG 1 is inspired by the sport of fishing, this Pure Platinum might be named after some sort of fish.
Adding 3M to your sneakers is a welcome addition to any signature athlete. Swoosh hooked Paul George up with a reflective Swoosh and heel tab for those who may happen to get some runs in at night.
The future of Paul George may be up in question, but you can definitely count on these for the Summer until he makes his decision. If you missed out on the Summer Pack PG 1’s, you can grab these on June 9th, 2017 for $110.00 USD at your local Nike Retailer.
