Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Rookie of the Year” on January 4, 2025. This upcoming drop pays homage to the beloved Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rookie of the Year,” which made its debut in 2018, saluting Michael Jordan’s iconic Rookie of the Year honor in 1985.
The 2025 iteration reimagines the original high-top into a sleek low-top silhouette, preserving the classic design elements that captivated sneaker enthusiasts. The new model features harvest leather overlays paired with a sail leather base, black laces, and a black outsole, providing a striking contrast against the lighter tones. A white midsole and tongue, highlighted by red and black branding on the tongue tag, round out the design.
With a colorway of Sail/Black-Golden Harvest-Gym Red and style number CZ0790-107, the sneakers will be priced at $140, available through SNKRS and select retailers. This release follows in the legacy of previous models, such as the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Obsidian,” also slated for a 2025 release.
Jordan Brand continues leveraging its storied heritage, connecting deeply with sneaker aficionados through strategic releases and accessible purchase avenues, solidifying its place in sneaker culture. Stay updated on upcoming releases via Nice Kicks’ Instagram and the Air Jordan release dates page.
