On Saturday, January 9th, the Nike Kobe XI will release in its first colorway, “Achilles Heel.” Before they released, a handful of fans got a chance have them early. Through the “scavenger hunt,” Nike’s team placed pairs in different cities. As of now, there have been 14 pairs captured with six left to go.
Until now, none have hit eBay except for one. Currently going for nearly $1,500 USD, these are the same shoes that will release to the general public. What’s different? The shoes comes in a size 7 with Kobe’s autograph on the heels and a special and limited box. These special pairs are limited to only 20.
