2012 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot

Hailing from Oakland, California, this 6’3″ point guard is the floor general of the Portland Trailblazers. Coming out of a 4 year collegiate career at Weber State, Lillard was selected with the 6th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft. Since then, he has made waves by unanimously grabbing the Rookie of The Year award to go with a couple of NBA All Star selections as well. His talents allowed for him to receive an endorsement deal with adidas and his exceptional skill level allowed him to secure his own signature line. Dame’s game is truly all around. During the 2014 All-Star Weekend, he competed in the Three-Point Shootout, Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, Rising Stars Challenge, and the All-Star Game. He does a little bit of everyting and quite well too. Only time will tell how his legacy will pan out but for now let’s just sit back and watch him ball.

After being drafted, Lillard signed a deal to wear adidas. He didn’t have a signature model to begin but happily wore the D Rose 3, 3.5, 773 and a ton of other adidas basketball models. His rookie year proved to be impressive as he won the Rookie of the Year award and made noise for a player who played four years at a small university named Weber State. In a variety of kicks, adidas used Dame to expose all models in their line to his growing fan base.

Dame’s sophomore season didn’t come with a letdown. This season, he skyrocketed in popularity and showed off his all-around game. With that, he was in five of the main events during the All-Star Weekend. That includes Three-Point Contest, Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, Rising Stars Game, and the actual All-Star Game. Once again, Lillard wore a variety of adidas shoes including the newest model of adidas basketball kicks. That meant, the new D Rose kicks and Crazy lines were his to rock. He was heavily affiliated with the Crazylight Boost and that led way to his first signature shoe.

Damian Lillard has proven his toughness and has shown it night in and night out. adidas has rewarded Lillard with his very first signature sneaker, the D Lillard 1. It was debuted early 2015 at a viewing party with fans and was released the following month. The sneaker is a low cut model giving the guard the mobility he needs to slash with flexible support of Techfit material. Sprintframe is used to construct the body of the shoe for a lightweight feel and stable responsiveness. The toe box as well as the side panels are perforated for maximum breath-ability. The material on the sneakers range from pair to pair as various materials can help tell different stories of Lillard’s life.
