A few months ago, rumors about the release of an Air Jordan VI Retro ‘Infrared Pack’ was confirmed to the delight of collectors and sneakerheads worldwide. Well, that time has finally dawned on us and two of the most highly coveted colorways in the history of Jordan’s signature line will be released together to make this set incredibly sultry and difficult to resist.
This release comes on the heels of the Air Jordan VI Retro White/Varsity Red-Black colorway that hit HOH only a week ago. However, I’m sure it’s safe to say that the OG VI White/Infrared-Black colorway trumps its successor each and every time. As you can see, the leather upper’s base is white with infrared accents highlighting the midsole, heel tab and the Jumpman logo on the tongue. The inner lining is black along with the heel tab, tongue tab and a portion of the outsole, which for the most part is translucent with another red Jumpman logo posted in the middle.
The infrared accent on the midsole of the Black/Infrared colorway is slightly more subtle than on its counterpart and the biggest difference between the two pairs is also the material. While the white base colorway is composed of leather, the black base is mostly suede, but other than the two main contrasts, the features between the pairs are identical.
This special edition two-pair set of the Air Jordan VI Retro ‘Infrared Pack’ will be a very limited release (*rumored to be roughly 18 packs per store!) this Saturday, June 19, 2010 for $310. As far as I know right now, House of Hoops will for sure be getting a shipment of these, but I’m honestly not too sure about where else the packs may be dropping *and will also be available at select stores across the country so you’ve got to do some digging. Be prepared to fight through a big line though or you can look below and see if you can cop yourself a pack!
