Air Jordan 12 Retro – Playoff – New Images

It has been about 3 years now since we’ve seen a retro-release of the Air Jordan 12.  We saw the return of original colorways “Bred”, “Cherry”, “Nubuck”, and a new addition to the series “The Rising Sun” back in 2009.  This year, Jordan Brand will release three more colorways, “Taxi”, “Obsidian”, and this beautiful colorway Michael Jordan wore in the 1997 playoffs, aptly dubbed “Playoff”. This shoe hasn’t been released since 2004 when it first retroed and thankfully, it will finally make its way back to shelves this April.

Jordan chased his fifth ring in wearing this sneaker, which features a dominant black leather upper with white covering the medial and lateral areas. The upper lace eyelets are done in silver, while varsity red hints are seen on the tongue, heel, and areas of the outsole. The “Playoff” is definitely one of the most anticipated releases of 2012 so be sure to make room for your closet with this classic.

Expect these to sell out fast on Saturday April 21st, 2012. Retail will be $160.00 USD as a general release.

As always, we’ll keep you posted on any future updates and release info @kicksologists or on Facebook.
