Basketball and skating are two completely different sports, but in the sneaker game, they are both well respected. Nike has done a great job with their SB collection, which is evident by the popularity of the Tiffany colorway. Nike entered the sneaker market in 2002, which was a surprising move at the time. Initially, Nike wasn’t well received by the sneaker community, but their signature athlete Paul Rodriguez really gave them some credibility.
The Jordan brand is a giant in the sneaker world and they are joining forces with Nike SB to release the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1. Definitely one of the most anticipated releases this year and it will also pay homage to the history between the Air Jordan 1 and skateboarding.
Green and black leather covers most of the shoe, but the white midsole really makes it stand out. The blue transparent outsole is a good touch and the mesh in the on the top of the heel and tongue blends well with the rest of the sneaker. They are set to release on March 15 and they will be available in limit quantities at Nike.com and select Nike retailers.
