Nike Basketball has done an amazing job with their newest signature athlete, Kyrie Irving. Not only has the Kyrie 1 been a success on and off the court, but most of all the releases have been a hit. Some of those who have been hooping in Lebron’s, KD’s, and Kobe’s are now switching over to the Kyrie 1’s. It’s not a surprise to me as the shoe delivers aesthetically as well as ultimate traction and control.

The Swoosh continues to roll out more colorways. New photos of this Nike Kyrie 1 “Australia”. A couple years ago, Nike had a Hyperdunk 2013 with the same colors used, so this definitely follows that silhouette. Combinations of green and copper hit the upper with a bright volt green finishing out the outsole. I think it’s fun to see past color iterations being used again for upcoming models. I wouldn’t call it recycling ideas as a signature line should have at least a couple continued themes. Similar to the “South Beach” Lebrons and “Chaos” Kobe, Kyrie has his roots represented with these “Australia” theme joints.
Earlier this year, the Flytraps were assumed to be the Australia. Although very similar, those featured an emerald green upper but had hits of crimson. No release or pricing information yet on this pair, but we’ll have it for you once we get it.
