Nike Kobe XI to Be Designed By Tinker Hatfield?

We already found out that the Kobe XI will debut in January. Nike has plans to drop more NikeiD graphics and Kobe 10 colorways before they conclude the Kobe X line. It looks like Kobe’s career is truly coming to an end in the eleventh signature model. According to @BaltsneakerShow, Tinker Hatfield will take on the task of designing the Nike Kobe XI:

He also goes on and follows up with this surprising tweet about Kobe’s request:

Hatfield is probably Nike’s most popular and innovative designer ever, his resume includes Jordans III – XV and some more recent Jordans. In that batch, it includes Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan XI, arguably the most popular pair of Jordans. Kobe shoes and Tinker have collaborated in a sense with the HTM (Hiroshi, Tinker, Mark) on two models. Both models came out in multiple colorways and they were beautiful.

Reports say Kobe wants to finish his career with another gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He sounds ready to walk away and to conclude his 20 year career in the best way possible. If he gets Tinker on this model, the expectations will be off the charts and the buzz will never end. The Kobe X was a bit of a disappointment and many are already waiting for the next shoe. Let’s see what Nike, Kobe, and Tinker have in store for fans.

Like always, nothing is finalized until Nike publicly informs the community.

On the Kobe 9:
