17. Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Barcelona Pack”

Year: 2011

First off, we are aware that this is a pack.  To us, these are two sneakers in one as they both represent Kobe’s long-term relationship with the sport of Soccer.  As a child growing up in Italy, Little Mamba was surrounded by soccer since he was six years old to about fourteen.  In an interview with Fifa.com, he mentioned that soccer was his favorite sport, even over basketball despite his career within the basketball realm.

There is no doubt that his love the game of soccer inspired him to go low-top and even create colors like this Barcelona Pack to tell his personal story to the world.  The pack may have been limited and highly prized by collectors, but it engulfs Bryant’s continued love for Barcelona and his favorite sport.

16. Nike Zoom Kobe 3 “Ace”

Year: 2007-2008

Can’t have a list without one of the greatest color combinations of all time, the Lower Merion Ace colorway.  Kobe Bryant led his Lower Merion Ace High School to his school’s first State Championship before graduating in 1996.  The Lower Merion Kobe 3 was the first High School inspired colorway in the line and paid tribute to his Number “33” days.

The Nike Zoom Kobe 3 is definitely under rated as the more recent models are a lot more popular with the new generation.  Many call the Kobe 3, “The Waffles” as its unique design was either a hit or miss to the consumer.  Nike Basketball hasn’t brought a lot of Lower Merion colors for the Kobe line since the Kobe 7 so it was nice to see them bring it back with the Kobe 11.
