Earlier this year, I heard that Nike and Jordan Brand were going to make 2016 a blockbuster year, and you know what, I believe it.

Nike Basketball has brought out sneakers from Penny Hardaway, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, and even Chris Webber.  Who knows why they are doing it, but that doesn’t matter because it is a win-win situation for all of us as famous models like this returns to shelves, the Nike Huarache 2k4.  It even made it to our Top 20 Kobe Bryant Sneaker List.

This Black/Yellow-White color dropped several years ago during the retro release of 2012 and is dropping once again.  Returning in Lakers-esque fashion, the Huarache 2K4 could possibly be one of the best colors this time around.  Kobe Bryant may have had his last shot in the NBA, but his wonderful array of sneakers will continue to branch out and hit the courts for a life time.  I’m not sure if these joints ever was laced up by the Mamba, but it definitely would be a good choice for one of his last games in purple and gold.

The Nike Huarache 2K4 could have been Kobe Bryant’s first signature sneaker.  Nike designer Eric Avar, Mark Parker, and Jordan Brand’s Tinker Hatfield all pitched in together to make this once in a lifetime sneaker model that is regarded to this day, the best sneaker for basketball ever.  EVER.  Even in today’s standards, the Huarache 2k4 would come close, if not surpass today’s top performance sneakers with it’s Nike Zoom cushion and well-balanced stability and support.

If you’re willing to give them a go, several past colorways have released and are available for purchase.  Stay tuned for more release information on what else is coming this year from Nike, keep it locked.
