You may have seen these last year in the grade school walls of retailers, but didn’t sit for too long at all. These Air More Uptempo’s did so well in the market that Nike Sportswear has decided to upscale these to adult sizes.
Nike has brought back this classic 90’s model in original form and several new colorways in the next coming months. Although not part of the original lineup, this new “Bulls” color scheme will be a hit amongst longtime kicksologists. The Air More Uptempos debuted back in 1996 with the oversized “AIR” lettering inspired by 90’s graffiti and pop art. Many might believe that these were part of Scottie Pippens signature series, but it was not. It was made popular by the Chicago Bull All-Star during his fourth championship season alongside Michael Jordan.
Made with a thick rubber outsole as like most 90’s sneakers, the Air More Uptempo “Bulls” is highly anticipated. The “AIR” branding is done in black patent leather with a suede combination on the upper. Unique to this pair is the heels, “1996” branding that pays tribute to that historic NBA winning achievement of 72 wins and 10 losses. Lastly, a white outsole to contrast the look will have fans itching to grab a pair when they release tomorrow to the general public.
The Nike Air More Uptempo “Bulls” returns tomorrow April 7th, 2017 for $160.00 USD. You can check Foot Locker at this link to see if they are hitting your local stores.
