The Lakers are rolling right now through their schedule, sitting at 12-2 with their first “big test” coming in the form of a Christmas day match with the Miami Heat, a team still struggling to hit a collective stride. Nevertheless, anytime you play a team with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, it will be an exam not to be taken lightly by any standards.
During the Christmas day debacle against then, LeBron’s Cavaliers, Kobe played the game in the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Chaos’, which marked the debut of the Nike Zoom Kobe V itself for Mamba. This year, he will be rocking the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Christmas’ pictured above. The reptile scaled upper is drenched in a very festive and bright lime green with a black Swoosh and red Sheath adding a bit of color contrast. The laces, midsole heel and tongue venture more into the realm of a neon yellow shade while the outsole is a lovely translucent green.
Hopefully, this year’s Christmas game involving the Lakers will not be a colossal flop as it was last year, especially when they provided such a great performance against the Celtics in 2008. The NBA schedules these matchups with the hopes that the games turn out to be among the best of the season, but of course, they’re also the best platform to debut some fresh new kicks as Kobe, LeBron and D-Wade will all surely be doing.
