Continuing on the success of the Kobe IV Prelude Pack release, the Kobe V is being released today at $200 a pair. Don’t forget to check our Kobe Prelude Pack Schedule if you missed any of the other releases.
The Prelude V is inspired by a retro, pop-art design which is listed as the university golf/metallic gold-gamma blue edition of the kicks. These are a special edition to Kobe as they were the kicks he wore as he won his fifth title against the Lakers bitter rival Boston Celtics.
Built on the Flywire technology and accented by a gold swoosh and glow in the dark outsoles really tops off the amazing design.
Lower and lighter than its predecessor, the original Kobe V shoe continued to push the limits with its avant-garde design when it debuted in 2009.
Bringing vibrant pop art to life, the Kobe Prelude V celebrates Kobe Bryant’s status in popular culture. Bold color accentuates the Nike Flywire, a technology that was just one year old at the time the Kobe V debuted four years ago.
A gold-filled Swoosh pays tribute to Bryant’s championship captured in this shoe, while a glow-in-the-dark outsole pulls everything together.
