First Look: Air Jordan Retro 11 Columbia

[new_royalslider id=”194″]

Year after year, Jordan enthusiasts everywhere have been asking for the original Columbia colorway.  Michael Jordan strapped these on during the 1996 All-Star Game in San Antonio with arguably the cleanest looking AJ 11 model.  After 6 years since the rebirth of the Jordan 11 model (AJ Countdown Pack 2008), the prayers have finally been answered with the return of the Columbia colorway.

The last time the Columbias were release was back in 2001 and retailed for $125.  Times has changed since then as the Jordan 11 has became the most sought after model of the whole Jordan Brand line.  Much has changed since the early 2000’s including the actual color name of the shoe in which this year Jordan Brand is calling it “Legend Blue”.  Despite the name change, the model will still have that blue tinted sole which it had originally.  The ballistic nylon uppers is done in white with hints of columbia blue on the tongue strip, Jumpman on the side and insole.  To contrast, the inner lining is filled in with black to finish the look.

When the sneaker community makes noise for many years, you can bet that the people at Nike and Jordan do listen.  They may take a while to do it, but we can’t complain now that these are dropping this Holiday season for $185 (pricing may change).  Good luck copping it out and saving up.
