3. Nike Kobe X “Blackout”
The Blackout colorway has been around since the first signature sneaker, the Kobe 1. We would expect to see an all-black sneaker, but most of the time it has some combination of Laker purple and black, just like this year. This iteration of the the Kobe X is in the top of any Kobe list due to it’s Lakers-esque nature, inspiration, and clean and simple execution from Nike. The deep purple and black represents the Mamba’s strength, conditioning, and mental fortitude. “When I’m really feeling it… I work out until I blackout”, said Bryant.
