The King, LeBron James has finally brought a Championship Title to the city of Cleveland. What an amazing Game 7 that was as it came down to the wire. It was historic for sure.
If you were wondering what sneakers LeBron wore during the championship run, you’ll have your chance to obtain them this Tuesday on Nike iD. Being down 3-1 in the Finals seems like an impossible feat, but LeBron James and Kyrie Irving dueled it out on court and beat the Golden State Warriors in dominating fashion.
Nike Basketball had James wear the new Nike Zoom Soldier 10’s that he debuted in Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals. Featuring a Nike Zoom cushion system, these Zoom Soldiers will have no laces whatsoever. Similar to the Zoom Soldier 3 back in 2009, these will only come with velcro and straps. Not too sure how these will work on court, but if you can win rings in them, that’s all that matters right? For some reason though, LeBron seemed to struggle with traction on the NBA court with the LeBron 13. So that could possibly be a reason why the switcharoo happened between the LBJ 13 Elite and Zoom Soldier 10’s.
Personally, I think Nike should drop the Elite edition of the sneakers towards the end of the NBA season. Most of these players stray away from their updated version and end up wearing the next model like what Kevin Durant did with the KD 9. LeBron hardly wore the Elite versions of his LeBron 13 sneakers, in the post season, and struggled with them. The LeBron Soldier line has been strong since debuting in 2007 for The King in the NBA Finals. And these joints will probably end up somewhere in the display case in Cleveland.
You can customize or the exact specified Black/Gold colorway Finals Edition on Nike iD Tuesday, June 19th in limited quantities.
